Killer Workflow Marvelous Designer to Maya & ZBrush
This is a complete process of my workflow to export clothing from Marvelous Designer to other softwares. I will be using Zbrush and Maya for it.
You will end up with:
-Correct topology garmets
-The original UV’s from Marvelous
-Garmets with thickness
-Realistic seams between each garmet part
-Knowing how to create fabric shaders, both exporting textures from MD or creating them procedurally
-Adding custom logos, graphics to your garmets
-Rendering the final project

10:00 – 11:30 REMESHING
11:30 – 25:00 SEAMS, ADDING THICKNESS AND UV’S
25:00 – 32:00 SETTING UP THE SCENE
32:00 – 48:00 SHADER WITH MARVELOUS TEXTURES
48:00 – 01:09:00 PROCEDURAL SHADER
01:09:00 – END ADDING LOGO AND RENDERING
Not really what I anticipated but I guess it does the job.. Only for simple fabrics and definitely not for anything more than that which is a bit sad.
