    Hey everyone!

    This is my first 3D challenge ever and I’m looking forward to trying out the idea! I love idea of mythology as you can really mash it up with some other ideas and concepts outside of the norm,

    Ive chosen the Myth of the Cyclops for my model, I threw together a quick blockout for his eye which i want to be the main feature and a reference sheet also,  i will continue to add to it over the coming days and upload some new images along the way, Everything is subject to change of course but feedback is welcome!

    Hey everybody,

    I moved on today to start blocking in the other shapes on the head, im not 100% happy with the mouth but theirs still time to change it atleast! Im trying to go for more of a horror sort of vibe to him and have taken away his lips to help this leaving his exposed gum and teeth,

    i also started experimenting with skin alphas to see how they look so they are included for now!

    Hey everyone!

    I did a little bit of the blocking out today for the face and the neck and some of the chest as well, i also added some small details with alphas and fixed up his mouth a little bit,

    I think what i will do next before adding anything else is put him into a pose just to make it easier on myself down the line

    Hey all !

    I did some more work on this over the last few days, finished blocking off his body and started experimenting with blocking in some armor,

    I couldn’t decide if i should give him some kind of ornate helmet or not so i rendered him with and without one!

    For posing too i think i will leave him in this pose for now until farther down the line then ill rig him in maya and pose him that way its the normal workflow im used too,

    Any feedback is welcome also, i think i will definitely be refining his feet soon they look so off at the moment

    Hey everyone!

    This is the latest image of this guy a super quick render i did in zbrush, i started adding more armor pieces to him and refining the overall look slightly,
    I think im going to remove his helmet as well next and give him more of a roughed up and rugged look and re do his god awful placeholder sandals also

    Imagine a brute of a cyclops trying to put on his fanciest sandals !

    So ive taken his helmet off, touched up his face a bit and tried to make him older looking or atleast looking more like he has a face with features, its getting there!

    Latest update, Im pretty much finished with the high poly for now as i want to move onto the texturing and rendering as soon as possible so i can take my time with it,

    Hey everyone!

    Spent a few days trying to get everything set up and doing the lowpoly mesh and trying out the posing also

    I only got that part done today but i wanted to make a quick texture for him to render something out in marmoset

    Im not surpised he looks awful as i spent like an hour texturing him but a good basis has been laid down atleast!

    I really cant stop laughing at the renders though he looks like a plastic toy!

    I went over his textures again and started getting a better pose and set up in marmoset, im pretty happy with this but as their is still a few days left im going to tweek it a little bit still

    Hey everyone!

    so this is my final post with the final renders also, This was a demanding challenge for me to do as its my first one and i tired to put as much into it as possible, if i had more time left i would go back and tweek a few things as their some things that are standing out to me, but as it is im happy with the results,
