Serious Value

Henning Sanden breaks Maya down on such a minute and intricate scale that the software stops being an obstacle entirely. Thanks to him, I can finally focus on modeling as an art itself instead of just figuring out how to work the program. Clear, patient, and genuinely enjoyable to learn from. My only complaint? I wish Henning made even more tutorials, because I’d take every single one.

Introduction to Modeling in Maya

Great tutorial! before buying i was a little worried if the content was too similar to the Introduction to Maya tutorial, but it definitely brought a massive amount of new information and a bunch of tricks and tips for me. The camera project was also quite quick to make, took about 7 hours.

The only thing i'd say was missing, was that the camera project didn't include any uv-mapping, which i understand because that could be a texture artist's job. anyways, i would have found interesting to see how henning would have uv:d this camera, because the part 1 did have a couple of chapters of uv-mapping.
anyhow, this is definitely a 5 star tutorial.

Great course!

If you're like me and you learnt Maya through Youtube/Udemy or similar sites but felt you didn't really 'know' Maya then this course is perfect. It filled in so many gaps in my knowledge, even in tools I had used many times before. Highly recommend anyone who uses Maya to get this, as the solid foundation it gives you is incredible.

You are not learning only tools, you get to see your future workflow

Ok so i knew 3D before getting this course (cinema 4D), and I have been trying out Maya too. But this course was so helpful to understand not only where the buttons are in Maya but the workflow you can have in this software. I finished the course, but i do keep it handy just to refresh some concepts if needed. Way more accurate than googling your answer.

As someone who has being using Maya for a couple of years and learned it by doing short tutorials and by experimenting on my own, this course taught me new techniques and workflows that have speed up my work.

I wanted to fill up some knowledge gaps that I had with the software and I´m really happy with the things I have learned and I highly recommend this course
