  • COOL

Tutorials are very good, you can see how to set up your workflow for faster results.
Perhaps some of this informations are not important every time you start to work, but there will be some moments when these tricks can speed up the process.
This is a very technical tutorial, maybe some other people want to create fancy fabrics right away, but I think these tutorials are very important for optimizing workflow.
    Good luck and thanks!

  • Hi Willypup,

I’m sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with the tutorial. I see your point about the videos being on the dry side. The tutorial is specifically about the tools and techniques of the program as pointed out in the description, I’ll see I will be able to throw more humor into my next series. And you are absolutely correct in your assessment – there is no natural starting point for the beginners here. The name and the description of tutorial implies that the artist already has some foundation and basic knowledge of the program.

It sounds like you got not what you were hoping for. I apologize for making it confusing and not meeting your expectations. You are more than welcome to apply for a refund. Will that option work for you?

  • Not suitable for a complete Marvelous designer novice.

If you are a complete beginner to Marvelous designer and are overwhelmed by it at first, I would not recommend this tutorial.

The tutorial is not taught in a natural easy to follow way that someone new to the program would understand. They are taught in a very clinical dry method and the videos are delivered in parts explaining very specific aspects of the program that someone who has not used Marvelous designer will find hard to understand what is going on. There is no real natural starting point for a beginner.

It’s possible that you could learn to make clothing by watching all 10 hours of this tutorial and are able to cobble all the information together to work it out on your own. But by then you will probably have died of boredom as the tutorials are very dry.

    • Hello Willypup,

That’s unfortunate that you didn’t find the tutorial useful. The point of the tutorial was to examine the tools – pretty much most of them – and their use. The “expert” in the naming implies that the viewer already has some familiarity with the program – you can’t go expert from zero. Nor does showing the tools implies that you will learn the craft of tailoring. The tutorial is about Marvelous Designer, not about clothes creation.

Thank you for the review, I will make sure I’m more descriptive with my products in the future.
