Elements of Japanese Design Vol. 4 – Shodo (japanese Calligraphy)

Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) is one of the oldest and most revered traditional art forms in Japan.

This package contains 124 of the most popular and symbolic kanji in both Kaisho (regular or block script) and Gyosho (semi-cursive script) styles. Also included are 15 kanji for numbers and numeric units. In addition to the kanji, included are the two Japanese kana (syllabaries) of 46 characters each called hiragana and katakana, as well as typographic symbols. All characters come in both Kaisho and Gyosho styles as well as solid and outline forms. All characters have also been verified as correct by a native Japanese speaker so they can be used with confidence.

All the files included in this package originated as hand drawn vector images and come in three formats each; PNG, TIFF, and SVG. The PNG and TIFF files are 4k resolution files with transparent backgrounds. The SVG file is comprised of layered individual strokes to make modifications easier, and can be recolored, rescaled, and otherwise customized to your specific needs. All files come in solid filled as well as outline form. All are high quality, high resolution graphics compatible with any 2D or 3D application that supports these formats.
