  • Not sure if low effort or lack of skill and knowledge

Bought this course, to learn animation specifically in Maya, and brush up on fundamentals. fill in the missing gaps. Honestly, I am disappointed. The teacher starts off from the very first chapter how Graph editor is important and you should learn to use it. After the Bouncing ball exercise, he does not seem to touch it at all, avoiding it at any cost, except for some trivial stuff. Because of that, he does not teach about Spacing at all and how crucial is it for the animation to look natural. His Animation demos feel lacking, there is no weight in them as if gravity does not exist. They all look floaty and artificial. He uses IK in places where FK would be a much easier and correct solution to get the motion he was going for. He does seem to focus on poses but even there it seems like he does not care much about the appeal just mentioned it once.

This might be pretty hurtful to the teacher and I am sorry for that, BUT if you are teaching a subject which you are not well versed in I am gonna come down hard on you.
I understand that this is an introduction and not a mega course that touches everything there is about the animation, but very crucial concepts were missed. Especially for a beginner, which is prone to developing bad habits easily.
