Inspired by Harvey Probber (1922-2003), a pioneering American furniture designer who is credited with inventing sectional, modular seating. His work paved the way for other designers specializing in modular furniture as his ideas were widely adopted and proliferated in the 1940’s. Probber favored exotic woods, highly polished lacquer, hand-rubbed finishes and extravagant fabrics.
