Learn how a professional environment artist works when creating Modular Buildings for games. You’ll learn techniques like Correct Project Planning, Modular Asset Creation, Material Creation, Unreal Engine Level-art/Architecture, and more!
3DS MAX - SUBSTANCE PAINTER - UNREAL ENGINE
We will start with making a detailed planning of our building. After this, the modeling of our modular pieces will be done using 3DS Max - HOWEVER We made sure to use universal techniques so as long as you know the basics of your preferred software (Blender, Maya, Etc.) you should be able to follow along just fine.
For our texture creating we will be using Substance Painter to ensure everyone can follow along even through it involves tileable texture creation (instead of using Substance Designer)
And the rest of the setup will happen in Unreal Engine with a little bit of work in Photoshop.
We will also show how you can make both basic interiors next to the exterior building.
