  • Automated Joint Placement: Predefined positions for spine, limbs, fingers and toes
  • Intuitive UI: UI with buttons to select all joints, IK handles, hidden/visible joints, filter by name or to generate a humanoid rig
  • Adjustable Radius: Slider to tweak joint display sizes

Installation Guide

  • Download the Tool: Save the RiggingGarage.py file to your Maya scripts directory:
  • Windows: \Users\<username>\documents\maya\scripts\
  • macOS/Linux: ~/Library/Preferences/Autodesk/maya/scripts/

Load in Maya:

  • Open Maya’s Script Editor and run:

    import RiggingGarage
    RiggingGarage.create_selection_window()

Load in Plug-In Manager:

  • Go to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager
  • Locate RiggingGarage.py in the list
  • Check Loaded and Auto load
