There is an Update to the Addon, V1.2 has now been Released, What's New
External Alpha Mask SupportYou can now use separate black-and-white images as alpha masks, which is useful for assets from platforms like Quixel Megascans, Poly Haven, and Textures.com.
- Select your main color image.
- Select the corresponding black-and-white image in the new "Alpha Mask Image" field.
- The addon will use the mask to create a precise cutout, which is ideal for complex shapes like leaves or detailed decals.
Separate X & Y Subdivisions
This update introduces separate subdivision controls for the X and Y axes. This is helpful for non-square images (like blades of grass or planks), allowing you to reduce the polygon count by using fewer subdivisions on the shorter axis while maintaining detail on the longer one.
Example: For a tall, thin image, you could use X: 1 and Y: 25 subdivisions for an optimized mesh.
UI Improvements
The user interface has been streamlined for a better workflow:
- Generate Button Moved: The "Generate Cutout" button is now located at the top of the panel for easier access.
