Professional Sculpting Workflow

Learn to sculpt like a professional and gain the techniques you need to create your own characters, including valuable insights into character design and anatomy.

Starting from a simple blockout, we'll bring our character to life through sculpting; every single step is covered, all the way from blocking out the shapes, to creating intricate details such as pores and wrinkles.

Industry Standard Texturing

Master realistic skin texturing and shading in Substance 3D Painter and Blender. This masterclass breaks down the full pipeline: painting Base Color, Roughness, and Scattering maps in Substance Painter, and exporting Displacement maps from ZBrush.

Finally, you will build a professional skin shader in Blender, mastering subsurface scattering for stunning, photorealistic results.

World Class Retopology

Using Blender, our character will be retopologized using simple and powerful techniques. We'll teach you an approach to retopo you can be use in any retopology software and on any character.

We'll end up with nice and clean topology that is guaranteed to deform beautifully in rigging and animation.

He's been making characters in 3D for 20 years, creating characters for on blockbusters like Alien Covenant, Pirates of the Caribbean, Venom, Pacific Rim: Uprising, Batman V Superman, and many others!
